Keeping Your Boiler Room Clean
Many boiler rooms are used as a storage area for many things. The room should not be used as a utility room. Items as floor mops, cleaning chemicals, softener salt or any flammable material should be stored in a separate area away from the boiler room. Vapor and fumes can have a serious effect by causing corrosion on your heating appliance. Not just the exterior shell, but the inner workings like the electrical controls, gas valve, burners and heat exchanger. Any of these can be a expense to change. Longevity of the heating system is what you want to accomplish.
Here are some pictures of clean boiler rooms.
