The piping originally was steel with black fittings. The big problem was mud
and bacteria buildup within the floor tubing and the air permeation was causing
problems with the boiler system itself.
To protect the boiler and complete system we removed all the steel
and replaced everything to the floor manifolds with Type L copper.
By making these changes we increased the life expectancy of this heating system.
The system runs at a lower temp. so we used a single bubble foil reflective insulation that has a protective coating against the copper pipe and fittings.

Boiler Appliance, System and Customer
There are numerous brand names and variations of boiler appliances to choose from. With many choices, styles and ways to transfer heat to a building. It is important to give a customer options that can work for them. An affordable heating system with increased energy efficiencies is what our customers want.
As a contractor, it is important to me, to do quality workmanship. We follow the guidelines of the CSA Gas Code, CSA Hydronics Code, manufacture and local regulation. This is assurance that our customers are receiving a safe and reliable heating system.
